Copy/paste audio regions between projects
Dear Rim/All:
I cannot figure out how to do this, grateful any pointers. I define a region, tap "copy" in the menu, go to other project, define track, tap paste, and nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong?
Copy/paste regions within the same project works fine.
Thanks,
Graham

Adding something like this is a good idea, I'll see if I can implement that at some point. I'll have to think about the implications, like what happens if the region is no longer available when you paste, etc. But should be doable.

Can you not do this with AudioShare? Other thing to do is mute all the other tracks, turn off any plugins that you don't want affecting the sound, export the file, then import it. Bit more convoluted, but it works.
Re: Copy/paste audio regions between projects
Is audio share 16bit only?
Re: Copy/paste audio regions between projects
Audio Copy/Paste is 16 bit, but Auria Share supports all bit widths.

Right, I tried it unsuccessfully too. While adding some vocals I apparently deleted a big chunk of my lead track which I want back. Is there another way to dig down through the layers and find that track?
Re: Copy/paste audio regions between projects
You could move each region out of the way until you see the hidden region.
Another way to do it would be to delete each region, one at a time until you find the one that's buried. Zoom in so you can see the name. Then press undo a bunch of times to get back to where you were, and use Import File to import just that one region you found.

Rim:
I tried Audioshare and it works fine in terms of moving regions from one project to another. It's ALMOST seamless as a process.
Thank you.
