Hey guys,
Here's a link to my first effort with Auria -
http://soundcloud.com/wepaintedmonsters/silenttreatment
All instruments mic'ed through Presonus 1818vsl, first attempt at doing all the aspects of recording and pretty new to DAW editing etc, but I'm having a lot of fun "learning by doing"!!
Hope you enjoy.
Aaron

Anthony, how did you get the song to sound so huge on YouTube?? Song sounds real good! Also how do you export song from Auria to YouTube??Anthony Alves wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hFtyb-lfnw
Link to my Auria Master of my latest song LOVE LETTER. ALL 16 TRKS IMPORTED THROUGH AUDIO/COPY PASTE
Dry format and then FX, EQ, Comp etc. all from within Auria.

Re: Active Auria Artists Demos/Masters
Thanks for the kudos on my song. First the song sounds huge all due to Auria's processing. I used convolution reverbs, fabfilter proQ, compressors and PsP Echo as well as the PsP Micro Warmer on some tracks. Vocals are layered, 5 tracks to be exact. All recorded and mixed on the iPad. The song which is actually a video was produced using Avid Studio which is now Pinnacle Studio and uploaded directly from within Avid Studio. Here's a live show I recorded in Auria. http://thebillyhawks.bandcamp.com
I recorded 12 tracks in at once through an 1818VSL with ADAT in from a Steinberg MR816 in standalone mode. All the instruments were through pickups only, unfortunately. I was going to run mics to all the acoustic instruments and use all 16 tracks, but the stage was tiny and there were already cords and stands everywhere. There was only room to get one mic in on the drums and everything was in that mic. I just had 58s for vocals. Plus I was playing and running the live sound while recording. I tracked in Auria and mixed in Logic Express.

Re: Active Auria Artists Demos/Masters
This project is the first in a set of improvised electronics solos. That makes it very far away from pushing Auria to the limits. I made the original recordings in GarageBand (for the simple iCloud sharing among devices), then I brought the circle takes into Auria for final mastering: editing, compression, EQ, and effects. It sure was nice to be able to bring my iPad to the park and relax on a blanket while doing some editing and mastering. What a pleasant way to work!
