Reinstalling Auria

Post by Danny_Kil » Sat Sep 30, 2017 11:05 pm

I searched the forum - couldn’t find the answer to my dilemma.

I had Auria on my iPad, which I had upgraded to Pro.
Everything was working normal after updating to to IOS 11,
Today suddenly Auria wouldn’t successfully load and kept crashing to “desktop”.

I figured I’d just uninstall Auria then reinstall.
But the App Store shows a dollar amount for all of the Auria versions, and doesn’t seem to realize that I’ve paid for Auria previously.

I’d almost be willing to buy Auria Pro outright again, to avoid the issues I’ve read about for those of us that upgraded to Pro from standard.
But I have also purchased all the IAP Fab-Filter plug-ins, along with several others - I’m really not willing to buy all those over again.

Is there an easy solution I’m missing?

Thanks,

Tap on 'buy' and the app will be shown as already purchased, and if you want to download.
As for upgrading to pro tap 'restore', but please read one of the upgrading threads here in the forum.

If you bought Auria that was later upgrade to Auria Pro, make sure you download Auria, not Auria Pro from the app store (Apple thinks you own Auria, so they won't charge you for that). Then upgrade to Auria Pro within the app (that will also be free if you've don it before).

Thanks for the replies.
Unfortunately, clicking on the Buy button “that has a $ amount in it” brings up the prompt to confirm the purchase.
Nothing shows that I’ve already purchased Auria standard.

Have you tried the obvious things? Eg, are you using the same Apple account?

If you look into your account, there should be the 'purchased' list, does Auria appear on search?

My IT professional wife suggested this simple but not very obvious fix that worked.

*Go to Settings on the iPad and log out of iTunes.
*Log back in

Now Auria shows up in Purchased items as it should
Reinstalled and now everything is fine
Auria no longer "Crashes to Desktop" (to use a Windows term) as it was doing, which was the reason I wanted to reinstall Auria in the first place.

Guessing it was an IOS 11 glitch

Thanks again for the replies

There's an iOS 11 compatible version of Auria currently in Apple review, so if you run into any issues, please wait for that update.

Thanks,

Thanks for the info Rim.
I’ll be looking for the Auria update you mentioned.
BTW, Auria with Fab Filter plug-ins is stunning.
i’m using a Motu 624 and with a buffer setting of 32 and I’m still able to run four Fab Filter plugins for “real-time” processing of my vocals.
Hoping to post some finished mix downs one of these days
