Midas venice U series mixing desk - will it work?

Post by mtingle » Sat Apr 25, 2015 3:58 pm

It says that the mac doesn't need drivers indicating it could be class compliant and should therefore work with iOS devices.

It's a fantastic mixing desk and would be very cool if it worked with Auria. Anyone any thoughts or experience with these desks?

The U series Venice boards are indeed class compliant and whether you choose the 16, 24, or 32 channel version they all are only 8x8 interfaces.
We haven't tested one in house yet and Midas says nothing explicitly about supporting iOS, so it may not end up working.
I will try to get my hands on one and report back.

it looked like the 4 subgroups are routed independently to USB meaning there could be up to 12 tracks.

"4 audio subgroups with fader flip to auxes and routing to USB"

Looking forward to hearing if this is compatible.
