Apocalypse Please Be True, recorded in reaper and mixed on auria up until about 11pm eastern tonight!

Auria has changed my musical life, seriously. So inspiring and so easy to get work done. We will be releasing a full album in a few weeks. The songs have been sitting in various mixed states for a few years while we all got sidetracked. I bought auria less than 3 weeks ago and 6 songs are now mixed, plus the one above, which just seemed to appropriate for release today...:-)

Keep up the great work Rim and gang!

Other apps used: Jamup, Alchemy, Nanostudio,

I've been playing around with MultiTrack DAW, AudioBus, JamUp (standalone), and Animoog. Played some piano in iGrand, made some drum loops in SampleTank and DrumLoops HD, and pasted everything into Auria. Just a short instrumental that reminded me of the times I spent in Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, New York City. Obviously still learning how to use Auria but having lots of fun while doing it.

Great work by everyone on the Auria artists forum!

New song - OK

Post by bluesnoz » Mon Dec 31, 2012 1:07 pm

As simple as possible... Here's a new track "OK"
https://soundcloud.com/david-snoswell/ok

Very happy with the sound...Auria still has a few bugs but it's lightyears easier to use than Reaper on my PC. DAWs were just made for touchscreens I guess ?

Enjoy

Thanks! I was remembering our recording for that, the guitarist came up with it while playing "never going back" by fleet wood Mac (I think that's the name of the tune). I don't know what the tuning is but it's the same tuning. Full album coming soon, all will be mixed on auria except for one track that was already finished in the computer on mixbus. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.

Great product, amazing company support, supper user base.

In that spirit, I decided to give back (a little).

Here is my first (full) composition on Auria. It is part of a project challenge my nephew gave me. I was to recreate a song of his choosing, as faithfully as psossible by Jan 1st. I was given 3 weeks to complete, and I decided to buy and use Auria for the project (instead of GarageBand or Meteor). After a ROUGH start with Auria (crashes, audio interface issues, plain old stupidity on my part), I got it working as was up to full speed by Dec 26th. The result is below.

All instruments and vocals are performed or programmed (drums) by me. Keep,in mind, I am not a singer. Equiptment used:

DAW - Auria
Guitars - Ibannez Artist, Ibanez Montage, Fender Jazz
Effects - Digitech iPB-10
Keyboards - Korg X3
Drums - GarageBand
Percussion - various
Mics - Shure M58

My plan was to run the drum through Drumagog, but persistent bugs prevented that (waiting for the update).
Also, I have no f-ing idea what I am doing when it comes to mixing and mastering. If anyone would like a copy of the raw files to show me what I am doing wrong, let me know.

Thanks everyone!
