External controllers will crash Auria

Post by Dirge59 » Mon Nov 09, 2020 1:46 pm

I don’t know if it is the latest version of Auria Pro, or IOS 14.2, but I have tried 4 different control surfaces, including DAW Control, in both MCU and HUI, and the all crash Auria as soon as you hit ‘Send Remote’! I have tried this on both usb and lightning IPADs.
I have been on the IOS Beta program and had no problems with this, but I haven’t done audio after the Auria and official IOS 14.2 release.
Does anyone else have this problem, or can you confirm that your surface works on a earlier version of IOS with AP version 2.26?

Thanks,
Dirge

Same thing here. Updated to iPadOS 14.2 and now Auria Pro is basically unusable when used with a midi controller (X-Touch One in this case). Auria crashes every time I try to make a change in midi settings.

Did it work on prior IOS with the new auria ver.226?
Trying to figure out which update killed it.

Yes, X Touch One worked in Auria Pro 2.26 before this new iPadOS 14.2 update.

Apparently this was an iOS issue - the latest iOS update fixes the problem.

I am still having this exact issue. Everything worked great before the new updates. Excellent integration with X Touch control surface. But since Auria Pro version 2.28 and iOS 14.2, the app will crash every time I hit ‘receive’ or ‘send remote’ within the midi settings.

Thanks Peter.

Please see the other threads about this issue - apparently this is an iOS bug in their CoreMIDI code. I've pushed a new update (should be approved in the next few days) that disables CoreMIDI support in Auria if you're running 14.2.

In the mean time, if you want to continue using external interfaces, please try to either update to 14.3 beta, or roll back to 14.1 if possible.

Will try this. Thanks!
