I posted about this in an old thread but I think it got buried so I’m making a stand-alone post (Old thread: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=14953).
Whenever I import a kick sample via Menu->Import File or swipe up/Files, the kick plays fine as an audio track. However, when I click the audio track and then Edit->Share->Export to Lyra as sample, the transient of the kick does not play. Autocrossfade is disabled.
Here’s a link to my video showing what’s happening: https://youtu.be/I4t5AyOC8VA
Fast forward to 4:00 to see the spectrum analyzer for the audio track versus Lyra track.
Thanks.
EDIT: Forgot to ask the question =). Why is Lyra chopping off the transient?

Re: Lyra chops of transient of imported kick sample
The volume of the two hits is so different. I can't compare them. I just tried the same experiment as you with my own samples and after adjusting the volumes to be identical and making sure to trigger with a note that doesn't result in pitch shifting (AP's C3), the two notes sounded identical to me.Trancespotter wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2019 1:57 pmI posted about this in an old thread but I think it got buried so I’m making a stand-alone post (Old thread: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=14953).

Re: Lyra chops of transient of imported kick sample
Ultimately this thread was answered in the Audiobus forums here:
https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/3307 ... ple#latest
Seems like samples that are exported in Lyra and then played through Lyra via MIDI regions need to have an additional bit of silence added to the beginning of them or else the very beginning is chopped off. When the same samples are played as audio events they are fine.
