According to Michael (Loopy and Audiobus dev) 9.3b4 doesn't fix issue though, but several users have reported some success with the workaround. Unfortunately the bug might not actually get fixed until 9.4.

i think it could be useful to list issues founded.
I start for myself.

loading a project in auria with many tracks (8+), non sound on output: it's necessary unplug e replug audio interface to hear sound

@acaonweb,

This isn't an Auria issue, but an issue with iOS itself, so I'm not sure listing specifics regarding Auria projects would help. But I agree, it's a good idea to keep track of the iOS issues we know about.

Rim i know it isn't an auria issue.
I thought it could be a good idea to summarize what's wrong with auria and Usb + camere kit and iOS

If You think it's not a good idea feel free to delete or close :D

Hey all,

I've read this entire thread and have similar issues, but my situation is simpler.

My iPad 2 is running IOS 8.1.3 and I upgraded to Auria 2.03. Ever since upgrading Auria, I get CPU overload constantly when playing back old projects.

If I open up the settings, the buffer size is set to 4096 but it says (Currently using: 256). I have no other interfaces hooked up to the ipad and Auria is the only app I have started. Still, I can't change the buffer size.

This didn't happen before I updated Auria.

Do I need to be running IOS 9 with Aura 2.x? Should I just revert to an older version of Auria?

Thanks.

Its probably a phantom IAA app still running in the background that is setting the latency. Try rebooting your iPad.

Yes, in order to get your CPU usage down, you need to find a way to get the "currently" setting to 4096. The reason it's still at 256 is because some other app is using the audio system at 256. Like richardyot mentioned, it's possibly a phantom IAA app. Rebooting your iPad (and making sure all other apps are closed) will fix that.

Rim.

Thanks. That was the issue. I had a track in the project that was using a JamUp Pro effects plugin. If I load a different project before closing auria, it will start up okay the next time with the selected playback buffer size.

iOS 9.3 is out.
Maybe that shitty bug is resolved?
Rim, any news?

Thanx in advance as usual :D

I'll be honest ive noticed Auria Pro is running alot smoother since the latest apple update (updated last night), less on cpu spiking, seems more plugins are able to run even at 526 buffer size. Still mixing with the highest buffer size on an ipad pro is just amazing, can run so many instances!!!

I installed the 9.3 update.
I'm using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 and a iPad Air 2 + Cubasis / Auria Pro / AUM / almost all audio apps there are.
The problem persists!!

The only diference now is, it works better without lots of latency in 96khz sample rates. But in Cubasis is where it doesn't work well or don't work at all.

Anyway. The problem is not solved.
At least in my side.

Looks like 9.3 made some major improvements, but not all the audio interface issues are fixed apparently. The biggest change is 9.3 fixes the CPU spike issue, so CPU usage should be greatly reduced...

Acaonweb, have you tried the 18i8 yet. I have a spare iPad 4 which I installed 9.2 and now 9.3 on and checked the functionality of the 18i8. Although I had to use the workaround of plugging and unplugging the headphone output to trigger low latency I found after that I could record normally with IAA and Audiobus. I tried Amplitube, TONESTACK, Thor, Sunrizer and a number of other Apps and all behaved well. I have more testing to do but on the strength of this I updated my IPad Pro and repeated the testing and all seemed OK. It's not perfect but seems workable. See what others say. Trevor
