External storage

Post by MicciHay » Sat Dec 26, 2015 4:24 am

I am very new as an iPad user. Maybe my question is quite silly for many. I am sorry if it is.

If I use an external storage, which is compatible with iOS, does it mean I can store the projects of Auria Pro there only, not in the iPad itself to save the resource of it? I mean store a project off the iPad and restore it into the iPad from the external storage, when it is needed. Can I store anything other than the projects there?

If yes, does the Wireless Plus of Seagate (as seen in the URL below) work as an external storage as such?

iOS is pretty limited with how you can use external storage, but what you describe is indeed possible. Auria can copy projects to an external device (like the one you posted), and you can copy these projects back into Auria as well. But it's not possible to record or playback directly from an external device. You still need to do that from within the iPad's own storage.

Thank you very much. I will try the Wireless Plus.

@MicciHay, check out this thread in the Audiobus forum. I have the HooToo and it works fine with Audioshare. Of course, this goes to show you the hoops one has to go through to surmount iOS' limitations.
