Buying Auria now, next update free?

Post by jonathancurran » Wed Feb 26, 2014 9:47 am

Hi,

If I buy Auria tomorrow, will the next update be free? I'm buying it on the hope that the next update has MIDI support, but would hate to buy now and then find out that I have to buy the next version!

Thanks
Jonathan

I heard that the midi will be an Inter-app purchase.

Unless you're just teasing re "inter-app" instead of "in-app", I too recall @Rim stating that MIDI sequencing/editing will be an IAP, not a free upgrade or by way of a new app. Trouble is, I've searched but I can't find the post!

No, I wasn't teasing.

I was interested to know when/where it had been said, as the OP is considering putting down cash now, and I think it's fair to refer him to the 'source' material. But if two people remember it being said, then it's more likely true!

Regarding the MIDI upgrade not being free, check this thread:

Specifically:
...Believe me, the midi upgrade will be well worth the price when it comes out...

Well found. That was back in May last year though, it might be worth waiting for Rim to chip in. Sadly, he's around less than usual, I think he's coding something, but I don't know what.....................

good thread, guys.

as for midi, yes that's obviously a big deal. and me personally( having bought just about everything possible both in app and third party to make Auria the swinging, singing beast it is) I don't really mind if it's an in app purchase.

I just want it!

In app purchase is fine by me, I just didn't want to buy Auria then have to re-buy the next version again!

Rim take your time you can't rush a magician. I would have to give you the greatest IOS developer award with the greatest app. I was just a music producer with a great ear before Auria. Now I'm an engineer self taught because of Auria and the plugins. After Lyndia.com course and googling fab filters plugins in depth I have a complete understanding of pre production engineering post production and mastering. Auria took me from a musician to a magician.
