Multitrack Loops

Post by Schimanski » Thu Aug 15, 2013 5:47 pm

Today I purchased the Multitrack Loops because I'm always searching for natural sounding drums.
But there are some things I experienced with this paxkage:
1.There is no way to prelisten the loops as a whole because in the loops folder you only have the single
instruments as aif files. So how can you tell what a loop sounds like? You can only prelisten the kick, then the snare etc.
There is no mixed version...This doesn't make any sense.
2.After copying a couple of files I noticed a LOUD digital click at the end (or beginning?) of these files.
Maybe the Autocrossfade function doesn't work with these files?
3.this is the most negative thing : ONLY when I use these loops ,after a couple of bars the audio totally cuts down!
Everything in Auria is still working (transport ,faders etc.) but there is no audio-output anymore.
I tried the several core audio settings - no difference.
So can anybody help me with these issues,or could you Rim,please let the people at morevox know about it?
Right now I cannot use the loops at all!
Thank you for your support and THE BEST iOS Daw!

Would you mind sending me an example project where this problem happens every time? This way, I can isolate the loop that's causing the issue and see if it's being affected by auto crossfade.

Thanks

Schimanski,

I haven't included the mixed track of the multitrack loops to avoid to increase to much the whole size
of the library (that it's large).
The sound of each loop is identical and I suggest you to preview the loops through the Room/OH track
(I know it's not the same as the full mixed track, but you can have the exact preview of the pattern).

Btw, I'll include the mixed track in the next Multitrack Loop update.

I also wait for the example about the issue you reported.

Thanks!

I've sent a dropbox link to Rim.It's a project where the above mentioned issues happen.
An update with the mix version of the loops would be great, maybe all together in one subfolder.
This way it would be easy to step through all the loops without leaving the folder!?
Thank you very much for the support .I hope,Rim can find the problem, because the idea to use single tracks
is great.

Maybe a stupid idea, but after timestretching the audiofiles are 32 bits.
The digital clicks and the audio cutoff is not only related to Multitrack Loops.
The same happened with loops imported from DrumsHD.
Greetings.

I noticed if I stretched the tempo way too off it would produce a bad sound. Keeping it close to what it was originally wasn't noticeable. As for demo of the entire lop I'd suggest the room mic as well. You get an overall idea of what the entire track is. I'm really loving the multitrack loops from MoReVox though. Just needing more of them! Hope to see more released soon. Particularly double bass tracks for hard rock and some brush type or country train beat sounds.

Thanks guys, I have the example project and am taking a look at it. I'm suspecting this is related to timestretching, and I'll be investigating this.

Seems like my problem with imported and timestretched audiofiles (cut off audio and/or loud clicks) is the same
like others have with imported files?

Yes, that makes sense. I discovered a bug that causes the length of the region to be 1 sample longer than the audio file size, and that causes a click. To fix this, just move the length handle on the problem region, and this will reset it.
