Re: Fab Filter Pro R is excellent!

I agree with others to avoid going to the Fabfilter site and watching the product videos... that's how they get you. ;)

It really is one of the more innovative reverbs in the world... for 1/5th the desktop price. Argh, I feel the purse strings loosening!

Re: Lyra Save/Edit Preset Issue

Thanks for the clarification. :) The reason I was looking to add my own Lyra presets is because many of the exs files I've brought in from Logic and Mainstage seem to come in with wonky attack and release settings, and need to be modified to be playable: it would be helpful to save presets with the ...

Re: Lyra Save/Edit Preset Issue

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes, I deleted Auria, and performed a complete re-install from scratch, so the only Lyra samples are those installed with the default install and restored purchases. The list of standard presets show up in the instrument list, but the dropdown at the top of the Lyra w...

Re: Lyra Save/Edit Preset Issue

Unfortunately, stripping the Sampler Instruments folder down to just a single soundfont in iFunbox doesn't change the behavior. (Even after a full restart).

Re: Lyra Save/Edit Preset Issue

After the re-install, the list should just include the stock soundfonts. I'll take a look though and report back.

Lyra Save/Edit Preset Issue

For the last stretch, the preset box at the top of the Lyra window has listed a preset I previously created, but tapping on it wouldn't launch the drop down, so there was no way to save or edit a preset. I reinstalled Auria, and now the preset box is blank, but tapping on the down arrow still fails ...

Re: Lost jam up plugin after iPad Os upgrade

As far as the joys of recording clean are concerned... keep enjoying the freedom and power, but the moment you get a sound that really works (on any DAW on any platform), render the track and mute the 'dynamic' version. The same thing with midi and synths. I can't express how many times failing to d...

Re: Auria v2.09

So very cool that FabFilter added Spectrum Grab to Pro Q2, and in such an elegant way! Using Pro Q2 on my iPad Pro 12.9 in full screen mode is an absolute joy. Fantastic update to a fantastic DAW. (I must admit I've been doing most of my work on my PC of late, mainly because of IAA's failings and th...

Re: Do people stay with the effects delivered with Auria Pro

The FabFilter plugins are very, very good, and I highly recommend them. But I think if you're just starting out, you can't go wrong learning the channel strip inside and out first. PSP is an OUTSTANDING company who produces world-class plugins. The strip really can get you most of the way to a succe...

Re: Really bizarre import fail

You might want to try doing a tiny bit of trimming and saving to a new file in AudioShare, and see if the files import into Auria then. If so that would be pretty convincing evidence that there is just something with the WAV format that Auria doesn't like.

Re: Fab filter issue

That is true about the worth of the Fabfilter plugins! I've been doing a bit more work on my computer DAW of late, and despite having good VST's for EQ, compression, and limiting, I find I really miss the Fabfilter plugs. But acquiring the whole set for my desktop would require moving into a whole d...

Re: Noob using a bus

Assuming I'm understanding what you're trying to do correctly, to 'print a track to tape' with its effects, you don't need to use a buss. Simply put the effect on track 1, then solo the track, tap on menu/mixdown and make sure that 'import as new track' is selected. This will create a new track with...

Re: Multi-Channel Instrument Mixdown Issue

Thanks, that works! (And that might be something to put in the manual. I'm sure others have/will think that an instrument in a midi-instrument slot would be a likely target for midi data, especially since the sounds play just fine during playback. Perhaps keep those instruments from being 'midi targ...

Re: Multi-Channel Instrument Mixdown Issue

I understand about bouncing a single track, but regardless of what instrument I use as a target of the midi file tracks, Auria only renders silence during mixdown as well.

Here's a composite image showing my settings:

Re: Multi-Channel Instrument Mixdown Issue

Thanks mschenkel, that's an approach I hadn't thought of to capture the audio. But Rim, is there any possibility that IAA instrument output in situations like this can be a bit more integrated into Auria? Being able to send multiple midi files to a single instrument is one of the better ways to add ...
