Re: Multiple input solutions
Great! This definitely gets me in the right direction. 2 other questions though - 1. As far as using an ADAT-compatible preamp, does it have to be an approved interface from the interface compatible page? (http://auriaapp.com/Support/auria-audio-interfaces) 2. With your setup, did you have to use th...

Re: Multiple input solutions
Sorry to be such a noob but how did you get 18 inputs out of the 1818? I only see 8 inputs on the front...the back just has outputs. You must've used some other ADAT interface or something...thanks again.

Re: Multiple input solutions
Or maybe this question would be better posed to Rim, so, Rim, have you tested multiple inputs simultaneously at 96K? If so, how many did you try at once and how did you do it? What interfaces did you use, etc... I remember you saying before that Auria has the capability of recording all 48 tracks at...

Re: Multiple input solutions
So would this be possible if I had 2 1818's running via adat? How would I keep them in sync? I think I'd only get 4 more channels at 96K between the two 1818's, I'd be looking at 12 inputs total but I actually need 14. Should I be looking at getting a bigger, more expensive interface with more input...

Multiple input solutions
Hey there, so has anyone recorded more than 8 channels at a time? Say, 12 or 16, somewhere around there. Also, has anyone done this at 96K? If so, what interface did you use and did you use multiple interfaces wired together? I have a project coming up where I need to record more than 8 channels sim...

Ultra-high resolution audio coming soon
Found this really interesting. I wonder what affects it'll have on the music industry/labels and also us here using Auria and audio interfaces. Watch the video, its great. I cant wait to hear the difference. 192kHz/24 bit seems finally doable within the near future. They funded it via kickstarter an...

Re: Drumagog
I'm using Drumagog myself but I used 8 mics to record each drum separately. Drumagog can only replace one drum at a time, it doesn't work with overheads since there's too many drums recorded in just one track. So example: replace original kick with drumagog kick, replace original snare with drumagog...

Re: 64GB or 128GB?
Hey there. So my brother and I are doing a full length album on the iPad, I have a 64gb 4th gen and he has a 128gb Air. I do all the recording of the instruments all at 96K (and my brother does all the mixing on his), some of the projects are pushing up to 45 or 46 tracks already. The file sizes are...

Re: Odd Time Signatures
So, the album that I'm writing has a lot of this so to get it to work I actually used a metronome app outloud on my iPhone and recorded it using the iPads built in mic...had to lay down a few tracks of just click and it got tricky of when to hit the start and stop on the phone but it worked! I actua...

Re: Earphones not headphones for mixing?
Well, at least for recording loud, live instruments, I use some nice Klipsch IMAGE S4 earbuds. They do great and aren't expensive at all. I wouldn't use them solely as a mixing monitor system but maybe test them out here and there as your mixes progress.
