Re: Hello from California

Greetings from Sydney Australia! I recorded a full night's set of solo covers last friday, 4 hours all up. I just paused Auria when I took a break and pressed play when I started the next set. Ran perfectly with not a single glitch. A truly awesome development for the working/recording musician. Jus...

Fair enough & apologies for my intemperate remarks. I just bristle at the thought of someone like Apple dictating musical criteria.

Re: Dark acoustic

Loved it . But then again that's my kind if music. The production was good, vox were great. Loved the subtle underpinning of low bass and occasional thumps in the night. Personally I think the song may benefit from a bit more chordal development or tonal change at some point to keep the listener's i...

Split stereo track to mono?

Hi all I took a live recording of a solo club date I played on the weekend straight from the desk and it sounds okay (for what it is..;). Unfortunately the right side of the stereo feed was bit hot in places and as a result suffers from that nasty digital distortion/click. The good news is that it w...

Re: Itunes Mastering Tools

Without putting too fine a point on it..... the day iTunes tells me how to master a track is the day I give up.

F**k iTunes " rules" about making music....

Re: Auria + Positive Grid's new Final Touch mastering App??

Okay I just grabbed it. It looks great. They have a demo track and I quickly messed around with it using presets. Good stuff. But I must say it is look so close to Izotope's ozone that they may be pushing the limits a tad. My advice is grab it while you can before Izotopes sues them.... :D :x :)

Re: Auria + Positive Grid's new Final Touch mastering App??

First glance it appears similar to something like izotopes ozone, a well regarded all in one mastering plug in. And as the previous posters noted you would typically mix down to the stereo track and then pop this into the mastering program where you would do your final tweaking. Once mastered in the...

I'm curious about what you most use this for. I admit I am not a big de-esser user, even on my desktop system and am genuinely curious as why this would be more important than say a limiter of compressor plug.

In our next release of AATranslator we are aiming to introduce the ability to convert directly from an Auria .prj session file to pretty much any other DAW format eg ProTools, Cubase, Nuendo, Vegas, REAPER , OMF, etc, etc and of course convert from all those DAWs back to Auria You just got another ...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"

One small suggestion I'd make is (if it could be easily done) to have an index at the end of the manual. I like to have have a manual printed out for devices I use heavily (my Canon DSLR, Reaper, Auria, Native Instruments Komplete, Alchemy) and my Auria user guide printed on single sided comes in at...
