Re: Vocal Normalizing
Try to remain consistent PHYSICALLY (distance, angle, etc.) while recording, firstly. Normalizing is fine (although lots of folks feel it's a no-no) but the mantra should be "get it right going in". That means maximizing gain stages on the way in and endeavoring to contribute consistent pe...

Re: Lightning/USB Tuner app or Auria Tuner Plug-in?
Unfortunately JamUp omitted the tuner from the Auria plug-in version (which I didn't find out until after I purchased). :/ The supreme irony is I also purchased the AccuTune app from JamUp's developer (Positive Grid) and it is mic-only as well.

Lightning/USB Tuner app or Auria Tuner Plug-in?
First World Problem, I know. Has anyone found a solution for tuning a guitar while working exclusively interface-in within Auria, or a tuner-only app outside of Auria going line into the iPad via the CCK? Thanks for any tips!

Re: Storage Solutions for iPad with Auria
Agree, Apple's continued choice to lock up the iPad is a dealbreaker for some. Even a simple wifi storage option would be nice but I'm guessing the push to get folks to adopt cloud storage is at the bottom of Apple's refusal to make simple external file exchange a reality (that and protecting its vi...

Re: Monitor Mixes, Multiroute and AUX Sends Help
I would like to do both; have a custom headphone mix during tracking and a duplicate master mix during mixing. The custom mix, as we've discussed, is do-able with the AUX sends (with an effect in the AUX-FX insert) but the duplicate master mix that would be sent concurrently to two sets of stereo ou...

Re: Monitor Mixes, Multiroute and AUX Sends Help
Thanks, Rim and mrufino1! I'm still digesting all the ways to route with the Aphex Rack 500. To be clear, Rim, I'm not wishing to send to the IPad headphone but to the Aphex headphone(s) which appear as outputs 3&4 in the Output Matrix. I haven't considered incorporating the iPad headphone outpu...

Monitor Mixes, Multiroute and AUX Sends Help
I'm using a iPad mini retina with an Aphex 500 Rack and it lists the Headphone Jack as a separate output in the Output Matrix. I want to have a separate mix to send to the phones for record monitoring. Not an uncommon scenario to have a main mix coming out to the speakers and a slimmed down mix feed...

Aphex 500 Rack
I just added an Aphex 500 Rack to my slowly growing "world's smallest DAW" and so far, so good. Having the headphone out require a secondary stereo buss is a little goofy but I understand the design decision. I haven't given it much of a workout so far so this isn't an endorsement but the ...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
I would rejoice if I could control a live mix with Auria via two iPads, one on stage with the interface and PA mirrored and controllable by one I could walk out into the listening area and make adjustments. Looking at what the new QSC TouchMix ( http://qsc.com/products/Mixers/Touchmix_Series/TouchMi...

Re: Considering a self-powered audio interface?
The PedalTrain Volto works great with the Roland EX as well. A little bit of velcro and they marry up quite nicely.

Re: Audiocopy/paste problem
Are you going into the config (gear icon) of the pop-up that appears after you hit the A. Paste icon? Selecting the "Audiopaste From Pasteboard" is only an audition of what's on the Pasteboard. The config screen (gear icon) on the top right lists where and how many copies are going to be p...

A good main page screenshot from Notator that shows the original Atari layout and the individual MIDI track controls for the curious.

MIDI Sequencer Design Wishlist
As a non-keyboardist whose been around before the DAWn of DAWs, one MIDI sequencer stands out to me as fun, fast and simple (while still offering a lot of depth for those wishing to dive in). I'm referring to the ancient Atari ST MIDI programs from C-Lab called Creator and Notator (Creator with nota...
