Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw

I knew Rim would have something better built in

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw

Makes sense but soloing each track one at a time could take a while

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw

I'm no expert but there doesn't seem to be an option to export stems - happy to be corrected If there was such an option there certainly wouldn't be any issue with 'losing quality' that's for sure If I'm correct then just export an AAF and send it to me via the contact page on www.aatranslator.com.a...

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw

@runaway / @Rim: Any further development on this? I see that the current version of AAT will do Auria->Reaper (for example) but what about Reaper->Auria? Is that still in the pipeline? You are correct that the current version of AAT will convert an Auria .prj session file to all other formats that ...

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw

My feeling is that Sonar would be doing itself and its customers a real service by keeping within the rules for OMF. It can only improve their product and enhance customer trust and ultimately they'd sell more. Unfortunately, one doesn't always follow the other  Have you noticed on opening an...

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw

I use Reaper on PC and was wondering if it would be useful for me to purchase your program now so that i can try the beta as well as be in the loop for the upcoming new version? How can I say no to that ? After purchase just email me direct (info at aatranslator dot com dot au) and I will or...

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw

Hi Unfortunately I don't see an icon slapping it's head that I can use  The only way we currently can get into Sonar is via OMF - their internal format is, well, challenging and they have no other import formats that we can use. Add to that their only export format (OMF) contravenes the OMF sp...

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw

Hi guys sorry I haven't been back lately but like the Auria devs we have just so much going on that it's not funny :) @MikeDee: It's good to be here and thanks for that @sodium: While we actually have a working beta version that reads an Auria .prj file and converts it to all our supported formats w...

Re: Auria Project Import/Export

Another quick update:- No doubt I have forgotten to mention something but we now convert the following details from an Auria project/session:- Session:- FPS, Sample Rate, Bit Depth, BPM, ruler/timeline Tracks:- Name, routing, volume, pan, solo, mute, phase/polarity, track automation (vol, pan, mute)...

Auria Project Import/Export

This is just a heads up that we are currently beta testing new functions in AATranslator which will both read and write an Auria project (a .prj file). This means that it will soon be possible to convert your Auria session to say a ProTools session (or OMF, Reaper, Audition, Samplitude, Nuendo, etc,...

Re: Opening an Auria project on a desktop daw

While not all DAWs will read an AAF rendering stems is certainly the cheapest and easiest method. But like AAF, rendering stems omits a lot of detail (markers, bpm, automation, etc) from the conversion and it commits such things as automation, muting, fades and x-fades In our next release of AATrans...

Re: Transfering projects with Reaper

So, if I read your thought correctly, one could have a client supplied OMF and AATranslator could move directly to an Auria session? Cause that would solve many headaches for my workflow... I have trouble reading my own thoughts sometimes so you are doing real well  Short answer is - yes! Lon...

Re: Transfering projects with Reaper

I have not seen an AAF from Auria so I cannot say if AATranslator can read it or not. There are at least 2 different AAF 'flavours' that I have seen so I guess an Auria AAF has a 50 50 chance of being one of the 'standard' ones  If someone wants to send me one I'd be happy to let you know I ca...
