Re: Recording a Live performance into my ipad (Again)
Hi I've been using a Focusrite 18i20 with Auria to do something similar, I've recorded over 15 different bands at live venues, the only difference is I have all 8 mic's going straight into the 18i20 and then use the main outs to goto to speakers and then mix from Auria, what I like about it is I can...

Re: Recording 16 tracks simultaneously using IPad 2 16gb?
Hi The most I have recorded is 8 tracks with the 18i20, I record live bands and it works well, you can add more tracks with the Focusrite OctoPre which will take it up to 16 tracks, for the money the Focusrite kit is good, if money is no object then there are a few around but your going to pay heaps...

Re: Headphone mix ??
Hi
This is something I've done with the Focusrite 18i20, it has a bunch of outputs and I use the subs or aux sends to send a click. I've not used the interfaces you mentioned so not sure if you can access the outputs via Auria.

Re: Volume automation without fader?
Not sure if this is what your looking for but you could use a Sub, let's say you have a Gtr on trk 1 that has some automation on it, assign that track to Sub 1 and leave the automation off, now while the track is playing you can adjust the Sub 1 manually but still have the automation doing its thing...

Re: Adding effects newbie alert
Or you could try the old school method. On track 1 you have your recorded instrument and you want the first 4 bars to have a effect, create a new track then at the 4th bar on track 1 touch the wave and tap on Split, then drag the first 4 bars down to track 2 below, keeping it in the same position. N...

Re: Audiobus Frustrations
Hi been using Audiobus on iPad 2 and iPad Mini with Auria and usual apps, had no problems, although like Rim said there are some rules to follow, I close all apps, do a reset by holding down home and power button together until restart, then turn on airplane mode, open Audiobus, select the app for t...

Re: Auria introduces Inter-app Audio support!
Thanks Rim, I get it now, was struggling to get my head round it, been reading more about it on the Audiobus forum, the potential sounds great, can't wait to see what you developers do with it.
Keep up the good work.

Re: Auria introduces Inter-app Audio support!
Thanks for the info Rim, this sounds like a big step forward. I have one question, is the audio that's going between apps just a stereo signal or will it be able to send seperate tracks all at ounce ?.

Re: Getting Molton drums to work with Auria
I think the manual must out of date, I'm using it with no problem as input on Audiobus and with Auria in output. First open Audiobus then Molton and then Auria, then goto Auria input matrix and choose Audiobus top right and choose which track you want to record on and it will appear ready to record,...

Re: Saving projects to Dropbox
Hi
Are you saving the project or mixdown ?, if you select mixdown you get a choice of which type of file as in MP3, WAV etc then below that there is a choice for Dropbox, I use this all the time with no problems, sounds like you are saving the project.
Hope that helps.

Totally agree Anthony.
I remember engineers I've assisted getting this out, it was a good way to set your ears up, another one that came out was School by Supertramp because of the dynamic range though the song, ahh the memories.

Re: 5 nights, 9 artists all recorded with Auria.
Hi All Finished the last show Friday night I can report that Auria and the iPad served me well, I've found a couple of strange things with this set up, the first one is I was about 2 min of a recording and the disk space reading went from 4% to 107% in a few seconds even though I had about 10Gb of s...

Re: 5 nights, 9 artists all recorded with Auria.
The link for live stream is on the website. Did the second show tonight and was a bit chaotic with the second band, the keyboard player came with wrong speaker so had to work out how to get his keyboard through the Focusrite into the ipad and then back out to his speaker, so I used a aux send and ro...

5 nights, 9 artists all recorded with Auria.
Hi All Thought some of you might be interested in my experiences with recording 9 artists over 5 days for a local radio station, I'm using a iPad 2 64g, Focusrite 18i20 and Auria. Each night this week between 6pm - 8pm UK time I'm recording and live mixing to air bands for a live music show, so far ...
