Re: Behrihnger X32 Rack connectivity
I am not using Auria much these days as my iPad Air isn’t keeping up like it used to, but Auria will still only do 24 in on a newer iPad (thinking about a new one now, air has served me well) from an X32 or is it possible to get 32 in now? I’d think about using it to not have my laptop tied up when ...

Re: I want transport control with one of my old midi devices
Doesn't the behringer bcf do mackie control or hui? If I remember right there is a way to boot it into mackie mode on startup by holding down certain buttons. I don't have one though so I can't give specifics, sorry.

Re: Auv3 issues
I'm not willing to be frustrated yet, I guess auv3 is still developing so hopefully this behavior gets ironed out over time.

Re: Auv3 issues
512 works but as I said that then makes my air 1 much less able to do a full mix. Oh well, I guess I either plan ahead and bounce, stick to auria plugins (too bad I didn’t know this before buying a bunch of au) or mix on another platform. Does anyone know if there’s a reason the au can’t work at hig...

Re: Auv3 issues
Ok, I'll try that. I'm in 32 bit already I believe. But 512 buffer is going to make my air1 very limited in use I guess? Anyway, I'll try it and report back.

Auv3 issues
I’ve been away for a while but fired up auria tonight to test out the ddmf au plug-ins I just bought, and no dice, no sound when inserted. I’ve had that issue with some other au plugins as well as iaa on inserts. A search here brought up a few threads but no real answers. Have others experienced the...

Automation
Hi Rim, I was just wondering if there are any changes to automation planned? I'm mixing some live recordings right now and touch mode would be VERY helpful right now as I'm skipping around. If automation is written later in the track I can't make changes earlier without keeping my hands on each fade...

Re: It's spring...wondering if Auria Pro will be released so
He could release it now, before it's ready to be stable, and then launch a thousand threads about how he releases buggy software. I know my life hasn't changed while waiting and I've found plenty of ways to make music. When the update hits, it will be awesome and I will buy it within 2 seconds of re...

Re: This is Ridiculously cheap
This means you can push your mix much further, for example you can mix your verse so that nothing hits the limiter threshold, and then in the chorus increase the levels and the limiter will prevent clipping, and the result is that the chorus will sound louder. Sort of, but if you push that limiter ...

Re: This is Ridiculously cheap
Easier answer- a limiter is a compressor that is set to stop a signal from going over a certain level, brick wall meaning not over it at all (hence the square looking waveforms of modern loudly mastered albums), other limiters not quite as brick wall but very close. Compressors and limiters are the ...

Re: Fabfilter's Twin 2 synth -
Cool, can't wait for this. Gary numan patch from cars is possible then, because you need 3 lfo's to be able to modulate each oscillator separately. At least according to the book "Steal this sound." I have no real need for this patch but just want to make it on principle. And presets are n...

Re: Old Timer vs MicroWarmer vs Pro-L
If you turn up the gain control in micro warmer, turn down the master in micro warmer. I wasn't too clear on that. As for turning the master fader of auria down, that doesn't matter in digital really, but if you pay attention to your gain structure you shouldn't have to do that. And yes, you'd expec...

Re: Old Timer vs MicroWarmer vs Pro-L
Do you own them yet? If yes, try them anywhere to see how they work for you. If not, then I do highly recommend both. If you're not sure psp does have free demo versions for a desktop daw that you could try. Still, HIGHLY recommended. Good on vocals? Yes for old timer- good on anything. I've used it...

Re: Old Timer vs MicroWarmer vs Pro-L
My point wasn't that one is for mastering and the other is a compressor, you can use either where they are needed. A compressor and limiter are the same thing. However, old timers controls don't really let you set it as a limiter and probably vice versa with pro-L. But a hard knee and greater than 1...

Re: Old Timer vs MicroWarmer vs Pro-L
Micro warmer is its own thing. It incorporates saturation and compression. Old timer is awesome on anything. Pro-L is a limiter, so you'd use it where you wanted limiting, old timer is more designed for gentle compression and if you push it it's not that transparent. I don't have Pro-L, but typicall...
