Re: Can Auria record simultaneous MIDI tracks from virtual MIDI ports?
Anthony, you da man! I haven’t got it working perfectly yet, but I’ve copied and pasted 2 of the Toms to new individual tracks successfully. It looks like i’ll have to realign the timing though, plus something seems wrong with the Tom 3 track, but i’ll have to figure that stuff out after work. Regar...

Re: Can Auria record simultaneous MIDI tracks from virtual MIDI ports?
1) Thank you for your reply again! 2) This may not be important as you have given me a different solution, but I’m not trying to get Auria Pro to create any data nor am I trying to get MidiFire to separate the info coming in from the TD-12. I wanted Auria Pro to record everything in one track, and, ...

Re: Can Auria record simultaneous MIDI tracks from virtual MIDI ports?
Anthony, thank you for your response. My setup is a Roland TD-12 vDrums module (hooked up to a corresponding electronic drum set) sending Midi Out to the Midi In port of a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, and from there into my iPad Pro 2nd Generation (or whatever they call the newest one). Using this setup,...

Re: Can Auria record simultaneous MIDI tracks from virtual MIDI ports?
Le bump I’m trying to simultaneously record 8 separate Midi tracks, each with its own virtual ‘midi In’ port coming from MidiFire, but each of the 8 midi tracks in Auria Pro is recording all events, not just the events from the assigned virtual midi port. If you don’t know the answer, do you know wh...

Re: Consistent tempo
If you use the free Music Memos app and play the recorded guitar into it, it will map the tempo internally, add bass and drums to it in the app. You can then open the Music Memo file in GarageBand and sequence around the original audio. You can then export the tracks (one by one unfortunately) to A...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
A "Dissolve Part" function for MIDI tracks.
This would enable quickly separating drum or percussion MIDI tracks into separate tracks for each piece of the drum kit (in other words, separating by MIDI note), an especially useful approach in editing MIDI drum tracks.

Re: MIDI "Dissolve Part" function or workaround?
Okay, I’ll post back here with my MidiBridge results or any other workaround I come up with.
Hopefully somebody else posts, too, and we can figure out a way to deal with this common recording issue!

Re: Tempo map
First, you’ll want to be in "Editor View", the view where you can see waveforms of what you record, not the channel strip view. Okay, so in Editor View (aka "Edit View"), set the tempo and time signature for the beginning of the song, or perhaps for the main part of the song, you...

Re: iOS 12
Start by updating to iOS 11, then worry about 12. If you never update, no need to care about later iOS versions... Anyway, I’m sure the developers are going over the info and code Apple released and are working to make the app compatible with the coming iOS. However, like with any major iOS update, ...

Re: Consistent tempo
Try Auria Pro’s Time Stretching feature. Here’s a video explaining how it works: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5eXGJpgVjZY Audio Quantize may be another approach that could work, but the playing has to be close to the beat for it to work, so I don’t think this is gonna be your best bet (might be pos...

MIDI "Dissolve Part" function or workaround?
I’m looking to separate an already-recorded MIDI drum track into separate tracks for each pitch. In other words, to separate MIDI events according to pitches (notes, or really, by individual drum pad on an electronic drum kit). Does Auria Pro have such a function, and if not, does anyone have a work...

Can Auria record simultaneous MIDI tracks from virtual MIDI ports?
Hi. I’m trying to simultaneously record 8 midi tracks from 8 respective virtual MiDI ports from the app MidiBridge (formerly ‘MidiFire’). Some issues are arising, but before I go farther , I’d like to know if what I’m attempting is even possible.
Anyone know?
