Frequently Asked Questions
Please note: The current version of iGOG (1.0) will only work with the iPhone 3G and 3GS. Support for the first-gen iPhone 2G will be added with the next free update.
When launching iGOG for the first time, please allow the application to finish installing and do not cancel the process, as doing so can cause issues and require re-downloading the application. It will take a few minutes for iGOG to finalize its configuration.
Where are all my free drum kits?
iGOG comes pre-loaded with one kit, 'Rock Kit 1'. Five additional kits are available for free, but they need to be downloaded first. To download them, just press the Menu key (the 'i' located on the top-right), then press 'Samples', then 'iGOG Kit Store', and then select the Free category. From there choose the kit(s) you want and press the "FREE" button to begin the download.
I've downloaded more kits, but how do I switch what I'm playing?
To switch to an already loaded kit just press the Kit Selection button in the top-left corner of the main iGOG window. A list of currently installed kits will appear, and simply press the kit you want.
The whole kit isn't loading, one of the pads can't load its sample.
Loading kits takes a certain amount of free ram. All of the basic kits are designed to load on any iPhone, but if your device is already using most of its resource there may not be enough available memory. Easiest thing to do is just turn the device on and off, your kit should now completely load.
The pads are all playing at one volume, or they're too sensitive or not sensitive enough!
First make sure you have headphones plugged in, as VelAUcity won't work correctly without them. Second, check your VelAUcity settings: Press the Menu key to access the Settings page. Make sure that VelAUcity is set to "ON", and then adjust the Sensitivity slider up or down to tailor the touch response.
