Sequencer
Record, edit, quantize. The only bounds are your creativity.
iGOG's sequencer allows you to record midi sequences, which can be played back either within iGOG or exported to your computer. iGOG can also import standard midi files.
Using the sequencer is easy. Simply press the record button and start playing. To hear the midi sequence back, press play.
If you'd like to hear a metronome, go to the sequence page and turn up the metronome using the metronome slider.
The quantize function automatically adjusts the timing of your playing to a particular beat. To use it, simply move the quantize resolution slider to a preferred value (1/8 or 1/16 are good starting points). The quantize strength slider adjusts how much iGOG should fix your timing (for a more human feel, choose 60-70%).
The count-in function counts 4 beats before recording. To use this function, select 'count-in'.
The tempo can be adjusted by either moving the tempo slider to the desired position, or by tapping on the 'tap' button below the slider. To use the tap tempo feature, tap the button more that two times at the tempo you'd like.
The time signature is adjusted by moving the time signature slider. Signatures from 2/2 to 12/8 can be set.
To save and load sequences, press the 'midi file' button. iGOG will read standard MIDI files, and will correctly interpret tempo and time signature maps.
