Auria supports both standard 2-channel USB audio interfaces and multichannel USB audio interfaces. In order to use a multichannel interface with Auria, it must be USB Class 2.0 Compliant. Not all USB2 audio interfaces support Class 2.0. Apple’s Core Audio must recognize the interface without the need for a driver. In other words, if the interface works on a Mac without needing a driver, it will most likely work with Auria.
MFi stands for "Made for iPad/Phone/Pod. These devices connect directly to the 30-pin dock connector and do not require the Camera Connection Kit or a powered USB hub.
Some audio interfaces that use the Camera Connection Kit (CCK) require the use of a powered USB hub in-between the interface and the iPad. We have indicated those interfaces for which it has been confirmed that a powered hub is not necessary.
Some MFi-based interfaces will also charge the iPad during use, and these have been indicated as well.
